National Capital Region(NCR)


Delhi's metropolitan area, known as the National Capital Region (NCR) encompasses the entire NCR as well as the neighboring satellite towns of Faridabad and Gurgaon in Haryana, and NOIDA and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. The territory is not classified as a true Union territory, though the Central Government does have limited control over the functioning of the territory much like other Union territories. Delhi is to eventually become a full fledged state. NCT (National Capital Territory) was also established with a dream to making areas surrounding Delhi, developed. Most of these areas were earlier small under developed villages and towns which have now turned into world class shopping malls and residential areas. These areas were developed with a view to relocate people coming to Delhi from different parts of the country. The NCR areas of Delhi are:
Gurgaon
Gurgaon Gurgaon is the most rapidly developing colonnade of Greater Delhi. Gurgaon located in the National Capital Region at NH 8. It's lies close to the International and the Domestic Airport. Gurgaon has emerged as the hub of IT and other new-age businesses. Its proximity to the national capital of Delhi is an added advantage. Gurgaon enjoys all the facilities available in Delhi. Gurgaon is home to offices of several MNCs. The Gurgaon district of Haryana has several places of tourist interest like the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Damdama Lake and Shama. Gurgaon is well linked by rail and road to Delhi, Faridabad and Jaipur. Gurgaon is one of the corporate hub in north India.
Now Gurgaon has become one of the most important corporate and industrial hubs of Haryana. The office and manufacturing plant of India's largest car maker Maruti Udyog Limited is situated here as are a large number other industries. Another area in which Gurgaon is excelling is the IT industry and software development. To cater to the Corporate clientele there are many top class hotels in Gurgaon including The Radisson and 32 Milestone

Noida
Noida The township lies at an average elevation of 200m above Mean Sea Level and has a flat topography. The latitude and longitude of Noida are 28º2' N and 70º30' E respectively. The town area as per the master plan in 76-77 is about 3,000 hectares. Noida is a highly integrated township, offering facilities for all activities: Industrial, Commercial and Residential. However, in line with the Master Plan 2011 and to keep in pace with the growing needs of the township, the Authority has been planning and implementing many projects which will cater to the varied requirements of the inhabitants.
NOIDA, an acronym for the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, is located on the left bank of the river and is equidistant from Ghaziabad and Delhi. It was developed near Delhi, across river Yamuna, in the 1970's as a modern industrial city. There has been extensive growth of population in NOIDA during the last two decades and the population is estimated to be about half a million. There is now a Greater NOIDA township being developed on the outskirts of NOIDA, to cater to the phenomenal influx of population into this region.

Faridabad
Badkal Resort Faridabad Faridabad is another popular region that is counted in NCR. The place was founded in 1607 AD and was named after Sheikh Farid, Jhahgir treasurer. One of the best places to visit in Harayana is Badhkal lake, that lies about 32 kms from Delhi.

It is the south western state of Haryana and is one of the most populated and industrialized city of Haryana.

Badkhal Lake tourist complex, Suraj Kund Tourist Complex, Arravali Golf Club, Raja Nahar Singh Palace and Dabchick are the main tourist attractions.

Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad It is located on the Grand Trunk (GT) Road 19 km east of New Delhi. Modern Ghaziabad is a rapidly developing industrial town. Many workers commute daily to New Delhi, where goods produced in Ghaziabad are also marketed.

Manufacturing and processing industries include computer assembly, electroplating, vegetable oil, tapestries, bicycles, railway coaches, diesel engines, heavy chains, brass brackets, glassware, pottery, paint and varnish, lanterns, and typewriter ribbons. There are three degree-granting colleges, affiliated with Meerut University. Ghaziabad district was established in 1976. The region consists of a flat plain traversed by perennial streams
